About
Side hustles, checked.
Most side hustles online don't hold up. HustleChecker checks them with the people selling them, and puts each one next to the numbers it usually leaves out: what it costs to start, how many hours a week it takes, how long until the first dollar, and what most people actually earn.
The HustleChecker Verified Seal
A creator who teaches a side hustle can apply to get verified. On a short video call they walk us through the steps they actually take and show the money coming in, on screen. If both hold up, the hustle gets the Verified Seal. If not, it doesn't. A verified hustle shows the hustle can work, not what you will make: results vary a lot, and most people earn less than the creator.
The reels belong to the creators. We play them through Instagram's own embed, credit every creator by name and link back to their profile.
The Reality Check
Every reel page has a Reality Check. It shows what the creator says beside what is typical for that kind of hustle. Income figures from creators are labeled creator-reported unless we verified them on a call. For context, the median side hustler makes about $200 a month (Bankrate 2025).
Trust badges
- Grounded: shows real costs, risks or typical results.
- Some hype: worth watching, but leaves out costs or leans on big numbers.
- Red flags: sells a course, promises fast money or asks you to recruit. We still explain it, so you know what you're looking at.
What we never do
- Sell rankings or Reality Checks.
- Charge members. Joining is free.
- Download, re-upload or crop anyone's video.
